The Mob Library collection includes novels, autobiographies, reference works, and zines about sex, bondage, leather, and other topics of interest to Mob members.
Borrowing
Mob library books are available for members to borrow. The loan period is one month. Books can be renewed for up to three months, provided no other member is waiting for that book.
To borrow, send email to info AT mobnewengland DOT org, with the following information:
- Your member name
- Book title(s)
- Pick-up location: at the library, or at the next Mob business meeting.
- This terms-of-use agreement (copy and paste): I agree to pay Mob to replace any Mob library books I lose or damage.
Rare Books
A few of the books in the Mob library collection are rare and would be prohibitively expensive to replace; these are tagged “Library Use Only” in the online catalogue.
Donors
Many of Mob’s library books are temporary donations from Mob members. In the event that a member leaves Mob, moves out of state, he or she can request to have their donated books/items removed from Mob Library’s collection and returned to them. (Note: In such a case, Mob Library will make every effort to return items to their original owners, but no one should give Mob Library an item they aren’t willing to put at some risk.)
Donate to Mob Library!
Mob will gratefully receive and catalogue your donated books. The Mob librarians reserve the right to reject material deemed to be in conflict with Mob’s bylaws or not of sufficient interest to warrant inclusion in the Mob Library. Please contact info AT mobnewengland DOT org to arrange donations. Mob Library accepts only donations in kind; any cash donations would go to Mob New England as a whole, not to the library in particular.
